MANUFACTURING PROCESS
The making of Zweil is an involved, multi-step process that lends the hardware its distinct contrasting bands of mirror and lustrous satin finishes.
In fact, the polishing process requires twice as much granularity as a regular mirror polish, and five times as many steps. Inspections are required for maintaining exacting standards and are conducted by specially trained professionals.
1. Drawing
Experienced craftsmen adjust the temperature and produce the initial material.
2. Cutting
The material is cut in preparation for the press.
3. Pressing
The material is pressed into the shape of the product and both ends are cut.
4. Shearing
For consistent polish over curves, any parts which bulged from bending are cut.
5. Polishing
Over 15 steps are required to produce the mirror and satin finishes.
6. Inspecting
A specially trained inspector will go over a checklist of details and compare the product.

The Zwei L collection is originated and manufactured in Japan. Its name is derived from the German words ‘Zwei Lichter‘, meaning “Dual Light”, from which Zwei L exemplifies the technology and craftsmanship behind its creation.
Production
The Zwel L polishing process comprises over 15 steps, and takes a very long time from start to finish to produce these high-quality hardware. Similar to a sword, this process is designed to refine the shape and improve the aesthetic of the hardware.
